Any use for anti-opioid ads?

Don't get involved in hard drugs

Drugs can make or mar

The Trump’s administration recently released a series of four powerful public service advertisements designed to highlight the inherent dangers of opioid addiction.

The ads are expected to shock the conscience of drug addicts and the world at large.

The ads feature the true stories of four Americans, and graphically illustrate the lengths young people who are addicted to opioid have to go in order to obtain more prescription drugs.

Drug addiction drives young people overboard, making them go to any length to lay their hands on the dangerous drugs, including breaking their own bones and purposefully crashing a car.

The president was said to have hailed the warning in the message, stressing the need to be tough in handling such self destruct tendencies.

He wanted a replication of the tough “Your Brain on Drugs” messages in dealing with the threat.

President Trump appears to support the use of approach that both engages and enrages.

It will be recalled that the abuse of similar prescription drugs by young people in Nigeria, and the supply routes were recently exposed by the BBC.

Hard drugs kill

Avoid dangerous drugs

In summary, families and governments have a lot to do to ensure reduction in drug addiction.

Families must play their role in bringing up their children to be responsible, and not get involved in drugs.

Governments, on their part, should, through legislation and consistent campaigns, discourage the demand and supply of prescription drugs to the underworld.
